PFC Inductor

PFC inductors are energy storage inductors used in power factor correction circuits. They are primarily applied in boost topology designs. Their fundamental function is to store energy when the switching transistor is on and release energy when it is off. This stored energy, combined with the input voltage, supplies power to the output terminals while forcing the input current waveform to follow the input voltage waveform, thereby improving the power factor.
